Each recipe is simple and delicious, arranged by season, and intended for both every day and special occasions. From springtime pea pod risotto and summery strawberry shortcake to quick braised collards in autumn and yummy chicken ‘n’ dumplings for a snowy winter’s day, this is simple yet luscious farm-fresh fare that everyone will love.

A blank note space for personal annotation accompanies every recipe, along with suggested variations to create personalized heirloom recipes. There are also several pages at the end of each seasonal section for cooks to transcribe their own family’s heirloom recipes either for safekeeping or for presentation of this book as a gift. To add a social component to the book, Josh and Brent also created a special section of their website, Beekman1802.com, to share recipes and see how others have modified recipes as well.

About the Authors Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge are the founders of Beekman 1802, one of the fastest-growing lifestyle brands in the United States. Their decision to leave city life behind has been chronicled in Kilmer-Purcell’s national best-seller, The Bucolic Plague, and on the hit Planet Green TV show, The Fabulous Beekman Boys.
