This is a night for allthe ladies and book clubs in the area to come together and get to know one another, talk about what you are reading, snack a little, sip a little, and you get to meet a great author who has a brand new novel that would be the perfect choice for you next book club read.

Caroline Leavitt is the author of eight novels: Girls In Trouble, Coming Back To Me, Living Other Lives, Into Thin Air, Family, Jealousies, Lifelines and… Meeting Rozzy Halfway. Various titles were optioned for film, translated into different languages, and condensed in magazines.

Her new novel, Pictures of You, published by Algonquin Books, went into a third printing months before its publication. Pictures Of You tells the story of two women running away from their marriages who collide on a foggy highway, killing one of them. The survivor, Isabelle, is left to pick up the pieces, not only of her own life, but of the lives of the devastated husband and fragile son that the other woman, April, has left behind.

With blurbs from Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Olen Butler, Dan Chaon, Michelle Goodman, Dani Shapiro, and Jodi Picoult, Leavitt’s book is both literary and commerical. O Magazine has called the book, “Suspenseful, superb, gripping and impressive.” Vanity Fair said “”Caroline Leavitt plumbs the depths of grief and forgiveness in the lovely Pictures Of You” and Booklist raves “Caroline Leavitt has been a book club favorite for years and her latest novel will be no exception.”

Her essays, stories and articles have appeared in Salon, Psychology Today, New York Magazine, Parenting, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Chicago Tribune, Parents, Redbook, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, as well in numerous anthologies.
